Kempker’s True Value & Rental was founded by Bob and Barb Kempker in 1970 in their hometown of Fort Madison, Iowa. Quickly becoming a family run operation with all of their children having worked in the store at one point or another.
When it came time for Bob and Barb to set their sites on retirement the business was handed down to their son, Charles Kempker and his wife, Dawn. Together, Chuck and Dawn, with two of their children, Dustin and Jason Kempker, Kempker’s True Value & Rental has expanded to 5 locations across Iowa; Fort Madison, Mount Pleasant, Burlington, Grimes and Huxley.
Each store has it’s own focus, but all five are True Value Branded offering everything from Hardware, Plumbing & Electrical supplies, Lawn & Garden supplies, Giftware, and so much more!
In addition all stores offer a wide variety of services including glass, screen and key cutting, paint matching, UPS drop off, screen and window repair and many more!
